That's right it's competition time here at #SATW-FanClub!

With the summer holiday/vacation coming up now seems a great time for a competition which ought to give everyone plenty of time to create something for the competition.

What is the theme?
The competition has the theme "SATW on holiday/vacation your country"
You may pick any (or all) of the SATW main characters (Sweden/Norway/Denmark/Finland/Iceland etc.) to visit your country and show us what happens next.
If you live in a Scandinavian country yourself you may opt to let your country visit another country instead.
  If you live in a Scandinavian country yourself you may also opt to let another country to visit your country.

What may be entered?

• Your own work - so you have to make/write/wear it yourself.

• Please make sure it's not adult rated as I would like to be able to see the submissions for the competition even when my kids are running around

• So write a story, make a drawing (either hand or computer made), do a cosplay or spend some fun time doing something with crafts and enter the competition!

• Entries for humon's competition are not eligible for this competition, you need to make something new for this.

Any member of SATW

When does it start?
Entries may be submitted into the folder I will make for it (so you can't do it till the competition starts) from the 15th May 2012, please make sure that you do not submit your entries to DA before this date as that is what I will be looking at to see if your entry is allowable.

How long do I have till the competition closes?
As it's the summer and everyone will also be busy with other things as well we decided to give everyone plenty of time to enter, the closing date is 15th September 2012 at midnight CET at which time i will close the folder for entries.

How are the winners chosen?
Once the competition closes I will pick a short list of entries for #SATW-FanClub members to vote for

What can I win?
There will be 3 winners and they will all receive the following:
  A group journal feature which will feature the winners
  One of my SATW embroideries (your choice - either one of the ones I have already made or a new one made specially for you) which you can either receive ready to frame or as a mini quilt - with a border and backing and ready to hang.

If any of you wish to help and make the prize pot bigger you can send me a note with what you'd like to offer (llama's/favs/etc) and I'll add this to the list - anyone offering a prize will of course be listed as a prize giver unless they tell me they want to be anonymous If you wish to donate points for the prizes you can do so by going to my profile and donating there - all points given will be used as prizes.

Update: The Summer Contest 2012 folder has been created and opened to submissions! Please submit your competition entries to that folder.

Update 2: #AnotherContestGroup has kindly added to the prize package with their "winners package".  To explain what that means here is the explanation from their group FAQ (slightly edited to remove irrelevant "how do I get it"  information):

Q6. What is the ‘Winners Package’ ?
A6. It is guaranteed to offer a month long journal feature, exclusive admittance into our gallery to be seen by hundreds if not thousands of our watchers, and a llama from the staff. Also, some members and staff offer items such as llamas, features, and art as prizes, but we do not guarantee your winners will get them, and we have no control over whether those that offer prizes will give them out. We can only guarantee the feature of the winners in our blog (each month for a month) and be entered into our gallery collection of “Contest Winners”.  Also our “Contest Winners” gallery is displayed in slideshow on both our main page and our journal area page.
